The Culture Action Europe's (CAE) Beyond the Obvious conference 2024 is taking place in Malmö, Sweden from 29 May to 1 June 2024 with this year's topic being 'United by Future Places'.
The event fosters international exchange by bringing together practitioners, organisations and institutions, policy-makers, thinkers, researchers, activists and art-ivists from the cultural and social sectors. With overarching topics such as cultural democracy, citizenship, urban and public spaces & sustainability, discussions are to be held surrounding the potenial of cities as places for collective living to be unlocked by culture. Apart from various models of presentation, discussion and participation as well as a diverse cultural programme being offered, the Culture Action Europe members’ forum and the celebration of the network's 30th anniversary is taking place within this event.
