Hybrid Seminar on Working Conditions of Artists in Europe | Register by 03 May 2024

On 16 May 2024, the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union is hosting a seminar on working conditions for artists in Europe in Brussels, Belgium and online from 14.00 to 18.00 CET.

Cultural players and their representatives, political decision-makers and institutions from the Member States and the European Union are invited to participate. This event with its potentially very diverse audience offers reports on recent legislative or institutional initiatives with regard to working conditions of artists in Europe as well as the opportunity to discuss how to improve them in future. In more detail, the 'EU framework for the social and professional situation of artists and workers in the cultural and creative sectors', case studies on artists’ statuses in Europe as well as fair practices in the cultural and creative sectors are topics comprising the day's programme.

The seminar will be held at the Palais des Académies and will be broadcasted simultaneausly online. It will be followed by a cocktail reception.
