ilDance, the international coordinator and Swedish partner in the iCoDaCo project, is looking for six independent dance artists with a contemporary approach to join/form a new collective within the porject for the next three years.
The European cooperation project iCoDaCo - International Contemporary Dance Collective 2024-2027, which commenced in Januar 2024, is co-funded by the European Union and coordinated by ilDance. The project has taken place since 2012 in different constellations, variations, geographical locations and with different partnerships and focuses.
The artists themselves or the majority of their professional activity should be based in Sweden and they should be motivated to explore the boundaries of dance, embrace diverse perspectives and contribute to a global dialogue through their artistic practice.
Selected artists engage in and develop knowledge production and research, create new works and presentations and carry out community and outreach work. The project is designed to support and enable sustainable careers and practices of the artists, whilst they contribute to the development of an open-source digital contemporary dance library. The work weeks in which these activities take place will be spread out from November 2024 to June 2027.
All the artists in the Sweden based collective will be paid a flat fee of 750 EUR per week.
All travel, accommodation and subsistence (per diem) costs related to the project will be covered by iCoDaCo. The project will also offer each collective a set production budget for the collective creation in 2027.
