21.11.2011 | The EU Puppet EUROFEST 2012 will start on 6 May under the direction of Festival Director Malgorzata Kaminska of the State Puppet Theatre "Tęcza"– Sobczyk
From 6 to 13 May 2012 the International Festival of Puppet Theatres of European Union Countries named Robert Schuman III EUROFEST will take place in Słupsk, Poland. The puppet theatre "Tecza" is organizing the third edition of this festival.
Besides the presentation of culturally diverse European puppet theater, the festival will promote cultural exchange and is trying to establish a network of puppet theater in the cultural landscape of Europe.
During the festival there will be a competition, to which puppet theater from the European member states are invited. Interested puppet theater can apply with two performances of free choice for adults or children. The performances will be awarded after evaluation of a professional jury and a jury of children with prizes in various categories. Deadline for applications is the 20 December 2011.
