Nordic Seminar on "IPR and the Creative Industries"

23.11.2011 | On the 8 of December 2011 the Nordic Council of Ministers and KreaNord are inviting you to this seminar in Stockholm/Sweden. (Registration deadline: 1 December)

Invited to seminar are policymakers, actors within education in the cultural sector, organisations within the creative industries and lawyers working with IPR. Basis of the seminar will be a report regarding IPR in the Creative Industries written by Dr. jur. Christina Wainikka.

The report shows that there is a lack of knowledge concerning IPR and also a lack of understanding on what the strategic implementations of different choices means. Because IPR is often important for actors within the field of Creative Industries the seminar is searching for a solution regarding this problem.

Here is a list of concrete themes:

  • What are the positive effects by working actively with IPR-related issues?
  • What are the differences between the single Nordic countries?
  • Salvation through the Nordic Extended Collective Licensing Model?
