Second edition: European Forum on Music 2012

10.01.2012 | From 19 to 22 April 2012 the second edition of the European Forum on Music with the title "Transcending Boundaries – Building Bridges" will take place in Istanbul, Turkey.

The title of this year’s edition will be the program. Through workshops, plenary discussions and presentations, participants will explore the physical obstacles hindering musical exchange in Europe as well as discuss the role which music can play in overcoming  borders – be it geographical, cultural or generational. The role of music as an unifying element is to be highlighted.

The Forum will be an opportunity not only for dialogue and networking, but a chance for participants to be inspired by each other and by the vibrant city of Istanbul, with its diverse musical traditions. Together with the cultural program presented by the local hosts, the Borusan Foundation, the 2nd European Forum on Music will be an event to remember!

The European Forum on Music will take place in the Borusan Music House which is located in the heart of Beyoglu - Istanbul's thriving artistic and cultural centre.
