This symposium on "Trans-national Literature and the Directions of Literary Studies in the Baltic Sea Region" wants to discuss literature that deals with geographical as well as conceptual border crossings within the Baltic Sea Region. Apart from that, intersections between literature and history will make up a key aspect of the symposium.
The event is open for scholars, students and journalists interested in the topic and will be separated in sessions dealing with dislocation and minority as well as sound and language.
Participants speaking at the symposium will be Aris Fioretos (Professor at Södertörn University, Sweden), Sheila Ghose (Assistant Professor at Södertörn University, Sweden), Eneken Laanes (Senior Research Fellow at Under and Tuglas Literature Centre) and Stefan Jonsson (Associate Professor at Södertörn University, Sweden)
To be able to attend the symposium, you are kindly asked to register via e-mail until 13 May.
