The pilot training proposals and the lessons learned from them should improve the music sector's capacity and add to its professionalization. The findings should contribute to a cohesive strategy for music support for the next generation of EU funding programmes after 2020. These should promote European diversity and talent as well as the competitiveness of the music sector. Also, it should increase access of citizens to music in all its diversity.
The call is part of Music Moves Europe (MME), which is the central framework for the European Commission's initiatives and actions in support of Europe’s music sector. Developed from a series of meetings with representatives of the music sector starting in 2015, Music Moves Europe was launched as a strategic initiative by the Commission. It has since developed further and today stands for the EU support for music.
All documents regarding the call are available online. Deadline for applications is October 31st.
