The Routes4U project in the Baltic Seal Region is looking for a project to facilitate a Cultural Routes card.

The Routes4U project in the Baltic Seal Region is looking for a project to facilitate a Cultural Routes card. The call for proposals is launched in the framework of the Council of Europe-European Union Joint Programme “Routes4U -Fostering  regional  development  through  transnational  Cultural  Routes,  heritage  policies  and practices”. It aims to co-fund the creation of a Cultural Route card in the Baltic Sea Region.

The card should provide discounts and advantages to the card-holder and be an incentive to travel along the Cultural Route of the Council of Europe in the Baltic Sea Region. In this respect the cards should encourage to discover the heritage of the Baltic Sea Region.

Project proposals will need to produce an added value to the programme of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe and to the macro-regional strategy EUSBSR. The grant will fund the creation of a Cultural Route card, which should promote the heritage along the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe/priority cultural routes projects and promote the macro-regional identity of the Baltic Sea Region.

The Cultural Route card must contribute to the EUSBSR-objectives to mobilize the full potential for sustainable tourism of the Baltic  Sea  region,  and  to  promote  the  Baltic  Sea  region  cultural  and  creative  industries  by encouraging creative entrepreneurship, as well as presenting Baltic Sea Region culture.

The Cultural Route card must be promoted online (on a website/s) as well as through distribution channels such as  tourism  offices,  info  points  or sites that  are part  of  the  Cultural  Route.  The  card must  be  sold through distribution  channels in  at least  three  countries  of  the Baltic  Sea Region. Project proposals shall be accompanied by a draft budget amounting to a maximum of 10.000€. Deadline for applications is September 9th, 6pm CET.
