Prepare for yourself for storm and silence – and enjoy this year’s folkBaltica festival inGermany’s northernmost country of Schleswig-Holstein.This year’s festival title is “Sturm & Stille”, which translates as storm and silence. It is the 15thedition of the festival. Founded in 2005 in the border town of Flensburg, the festival will again capture the Scandinavic and Baltic spirit. The festival will feature some regular guests of folkBaltica such as the Swedish quartett Kraja as well as first-time guests like Estonian trio Soon/Piho/Lepasson. One of the highlights will be the anniversary concert of of the folkBaltica All Star Band in Flensburg on May 25th.
Concerts will be held in the northern Schleswig-Holstein as well as in southern Denmark. Flensburg will be the main hub of the festival, but concerts will be held in Kiel, Eckernförde, Husum, Apenrade, Sonderburg as well as in various other cities.
