Jazz Open Hamburg, 31st August – 1st September

28.08.2019 |

Jazz and a day out in the park – that is a perfect combination offered by Hamburg’s beloved Jazz Open. Taking place in the central but cosy city park Planten un’ Blomen ten bands in two days will again create a special atmosphere to enjoy.

Taking place since 1996 it is the only Jazz Festival in Hamburg offering free entrance. There are no security zones, but everything is open, leading to a special exchange between guests and a relaxed musical scene.

Traditionally most of the bands come from the local scene in Hamburg, but the festival also welcomes national and international performers playing traditional as well as contemporary Jazz. One highlight of the festival will be again the set of the NDR Bigband. The festival takes place form August 31st to September 1st.
