The next edition will take place from August 24th – to August 31st at Berwaldhallen in Stockholm.
The festival combines in seven days classical music with seven debates. Some of the region’s most thought-provoking people will discuss sustainability and music. In Sweden the concerts will be broadcasted on Radio P2, some of them in many countries in Europe.
Founded by Valery Gergiev, Michael Tydén and Esa-Pekka Salonen the festival took place for the first time in 2003 with already a very strong environmental agenda. Since then the combination of classical music, the idea of fostering community spirit among the Baltic countries, and the focus on the sensitive Baltic Sea environment has evoked widespread support and rendered the festival indispensable in the Baltic Sea Region. A full programme and tickets are available on the page of Berwaldhallen.
