The Network of Cities for Artistic Creation (CreArt) is inviting visual artists to take part in the exhibition ‘Techno-Illusions’, which will open in late summer in Kaunas. The exhibition is looking for participations that deal with developments that societies and individuals are confronted with due to rapid technological changes. Especially the question of what constitutes reality is up for negotiation.
The exhibition invites artists to interpret those changes, challenges them to apply various means of artistic expression, and asks them what they perceive as real-reality and what might be another reality created through technology.
Participation is open to artists in the contemporary visual arts who are professionally representing the fields of visual and fine arts. From the applications two artists will be selected and one of them must represent the cities of Kaunas. Participants need to be linked to one of the CreArt cities.
Deadline for applications is June 15thand the exhibition will take place from September 11thto October 10th2019. Exhibition organiser is gallery VšįArtkomasand the event will take place at gallery ‘Ars et mundus’. The successful applicant’s cost of accommodation and travel will be covered as well as a 300€ grant provided for the opening of the exhibition. Find all the information on how to apply on the CreArt website.
