Cultural Festival Schleswig-Holstein

The Cultural Festival Schleswig-Holstein running from 10 July - October 2020 serves to support and promote Schleswig-Holstein's artists, cultural workers and the event industry. The festival is organised by the state of Schleswig-Holstein.

The Cultural Festival will be opened in Eutin, Schleswig-Holstein on Friday, July 10th. From 13 to 25 July, a "culture truck" will roll through Schleswig-Holstein to make the festival known and present culture live. Artists are invited to apply for future performances during this time, a presentation time of 15 - 45 minutes per artist is planned. Applications are open to artists who:

  • have their main residence in Schleswig-Holstein
  • for bands: at least half of the members of bands must have their main residence in Schleswig-Holstein

 

About 90 events are planned within the festival. The events will be public and free of charge. However, due to the Corona hygiene regulations, restrictions still apply at present. Should further restrictions be possible at a later date, the formats will be expanded. Furthermore, the events will be streamed in the social media.The entire festival will take place on 10th July - October 2020. Citizens and guests of Schleswig-Holstein are invited to experience the diverse culture.

The state government is providing a total of around three million euros for the Cultural Festival. "The festival will be present throughout the country - in the cities and small towns. The state government as the organizer is also creating a diverse, free offer for the people in the north," said Daniel Günther, Minister President of Schleswig-Holstein.
