German Blues on the way to international competitions

After the ARS BALTICA accredited German Blues Challenge Eutin 2011 the Baltic Blues Society Eutin nominates three German blues bands for international competitions in 2012.

Johnny Rieger Band ©H.NickelFollowing the German Blues Challenge in Eutin on 29 October 2011 the Baltic Blues Society Eutin is happy to nominate two blues bands from Germany for the International Blues Challenge from 31 January to 4 February 2012 in Memphis, USA.

In the band category the Johnny Rieger Band will be part of the world largest blues competition in Memphis, USA, the "Home of the Blues". In the solo/duo section the Big Daddy Wilson Duo will do their best to repeat Germany's success at the IBC 2011, when Georg Schroeter & Marc Breitfelder from Kiel  won this competition.

The 3rd nomination is for the European Blues Challenge in Berlin on 16 and 17 March 2012: Michael van Merwyk & Bluesoul, who came in first at this year's German BMichael van Merwyk&Big Daddy Wilson ©H.Nickel lues Challenge, will represent Germany at the 2nd European blues competition with twenty bands from all over Europe.

The Baltic Blues Society Eutin is happy and proud to name these three excellent blues acts from Germany for those prestigious European and world wide competitions. We are sure these bands will represent the German blues scene in a great way and like to wish them good luck and a whole lot of fun with their performances.
