For the first time ever Hordaland kunstsenter in Bergen (Norway) will organize a Summer Academy. The call for participation is now open and will close on June 16th. The Summer Academy will take place from August 8thto August 13th.
The programme will focus on collaboration and cooperation, working together and generating knowledge as a group. The Summer Academy will include three workshops which will be held by an international selection of tutors, among them Elise Carron (FR), Ina Hagen (NO), and The Entangled Readers (NL/AU). The event will take place in two locations: Hordaland kunstsenter in the city centre of Bergen as well as in the rural Nordic Artists’ Centre in Dale.
The call is not open only to artists or students but to anyone interested in contemporary practices and alternative forms of learning. From the call ten participants will be selected. The Summer Academy will be held in English. If necessary, participant will receive a small stipend to cover their travel and accommodation costs.
Hordaland kunstsenter was established in 1976 as the first artist-run art centre in Norway and is part of the association Contemporary Art Centres in Norway.
