International Contemporary "New Baltic Dance"

From 7 to 12 May 2013 the ARS BALTICA accredited project "New Baltic Dance" presents international and contemporary dance during a festival which takes place at different locations in Vilnius (Lithuania).

Since its 17 years of existence the festival "New Baltic Dance" has grown into one of the main and most prestigious dance festivals in the Baltic Sea Region. Guests from the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Israel, Canada, Slovenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Poland, Switzerland, Senegal and of course the Nordic and Baltic countries came to the festival.

The event especially aims to present new productions, e.g. premieres, post-premieres or pre-premieres and provides the possibility for Lithuanian choreographers to show their newest creations.

There are different locations in Vilnius where the festival takes place: Lithuanian National Drama Theatre, Arts Printing House, Russian Drama Theatre of Lithuania and the Shopping Mall Europa.
