Between the 26 October and the 1 November the "International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film", DOK Leipzig for short, is taking place. The DOK Leipzig is a festival that focuses on the values of peace, tolerance, human dignity and freedom of expression, along with a strong, individual artistic signature of the filmmakers taking place this year for the 63rd time.

Due the irregular conditions caused by the Corona virus this year's festival programme is going to be a hybrid between online and offline events. Tickets will be available from 20 October. You can find the finished programme here.

The festival will offer film screenings in many cinemas all over Leipzig as well as an online video-on-demand model accessible from all over Germany as well as professionals from the film scene. The majority of films will be accessible, but not all of them. This system still can change due to the uncertain and varying laws on the Corona virus in Germany.
