The Kone Foundation Grant Call is going to open soon! Applications will be accepted from September 1st to 15th. Kone Foundation in Finland is funding initiatives in research and the arts as well as projects which combine academic and artistic approaches. Other kinds of cultural work are also funded.
The Kone Foundation grants are designed for Finnish nationals who are working in Finland or abroad or other nationalities working in Finland. Alternatively, the work of the applicant should have a connection with Finland.
Kone Foundation is an independent non-profit organization. Its mission is to make the world a better place by advancing bold initiatives in research and the arts. Funding can be applied for academic and/ or artistic work, the advancement of academic and/or artistic work, work based on academic research and / or artistic work as well as other kinds of cultural work.
Priority will be given to areas and subjects that are multidisciplinary, new and seek to view things from other perspectives and question prevailing ideas. Applicants are encouraged to engage in diversified projects that combine art and science, as well as collaboration between journalists and researchers. Proposals have to be submitted via an online application service. Applications cannot be sent via email or any other means outside the online service. Deadline for applications is September 15th. Individuals, a working group as well as an established organization are eligible for a grant. Group applications must select a team leader, responsible for the project.
The grants awarded following the September funding call can be used at the start of the following year. Grants may be funded for a maximum of four years at a time.
