Kulturama.digital: The Goethe-Institut's global cultural calendar

23.04.2020 |

In order to help artists and institutions to present their work the Goethe-Institut has launched the digital calender kulturama.digital: Artists and cultural institutions of all fields can upload their digital cultural offers such as livestreams or on-demand programs to kulturama.digital free of charge and thus make them accessible to an international audience.

The coronavirus pandemic is hitting artists hard. Festivals, readings, and workshops are being cancelled around the world. Museums and concert halls do not know when they will reopen. The crisis is making it almost impossible for freelancers to continue working. In order to help those who give cultural inspiration so that they can work during the corona crisis and reach the user in their living rooms the Goethe-Institut has launched the digital cultural calendar kulturama.digital to lend the online cultural offers of artists more visibility and greater reach in times of the coronavirus. A donation button for each event allows users to financially support the artists and thus contribute to a vibrant online cultural scene.

kulturama.digital does address freelance artists or artist groups from all disciplines, cultural institutions such as museums, theatres, opera and concert halls, radio stations, and film broadcaster, who want to give their online cultural event international reach and visibility and cultural connoisseurs worldwide.

Everyone who organises an event is welcome to post it on Kulturama.digital – whether it is a kitchen puppet show or an international film festival.

The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany’s cultural institute, active worldwide. With 157 institutes in 98 countries, we promote the study of German abroad, encourage international cultural exchange and convey a contemporary image of Germany. Visit Goethe-Institut on Facebook and Twitter.
