Matchmaking Online Project Civil Match

Сivil Match is an immersive matchmaking online project focusing on cross-border cooperation. Extensive networking for changemakers and a great opportunity for civil-society actors to find partners from other countries, and get ready to apply for the Federal Foreign Office funds.


Сivil Match is an immersive matchmaking online project with the aim to build long-term international partnerships based on trust and friendship and to connect with the donor organizations. Participants get the opportunity to learn the latest trends in civil society development, discover successful cases of international cooperation for impact and increase the chances to take part in the Civil Match Forum and prepare to get ready to apply for funds for cross-border impactful projects implementation from the German Federal Foreign Office.

Civil Match is looking for civil-society actors (NGOs, foundations, media, youth associations, higher education institutions, culture professionals, and others promoting pluralism, open dialogue, etc. organizations from Poland and France must be NGOs) who are working on the development of civil society and support democratic values in 10 countries (Baltic Sea Region: Germany, Poland, Russia). Actors involved in governance or business can only be regarded as part of civil society in exceptional cases when civil-society actors do not exist because of local conditions and when the concrete measures to be funded provide sufficient guarantee that the political aims
being pursued will be achieved. 

Сivil-society actors interested in implementing projects in the following directions are encouraged to register for Civil Match:

  • Pluralism and Media
  • Culture and Youth
  • Educational Training Measures
  • Conflict Resolution

Civil Match - interactive networking and matchmaking sessions with civil-society actors from 10 countries - will take place on 24-26 July online. Participants can register here until 22 July.

The Civil Match Forum will take place on 21-24 September. Applications will be open after Civil Match.
