New Director General of the CBSS Secretariat

On 1 September 2010, Jan Lundin has started as the new Head of the Secretariat of the Council of the Baltic Sea States .

The Secretariat of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) is located in Stockholm/ Sweden. ARS BALTICA maintains tight links with the Secretariat of the CBSS.

Jan Lundin is a Swedish national and a career diplomat. Before taking over the role of Director General of the CBSS Secretariat, he was Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Sweden to Germany. He has also served in Vilnius/ Lithuania, Moscow/ Russia and Belgrade/ Serbia and has also worked in Stockholm on matters related to regional cooperation in both South Eastern Europe and the Baltic Sea Region. Mr Lundin has taken over from Gabriele Kötschau who was Director General until August 2010.
