The unique und very special Norden Festival kicked off successfully for its premiere last year. Now the second edition with an even more exciting programme is about to open its gates once more. The festival will start at August 29th and be staged again in the city of Schleswig, Northern Germany.
The festival is a Nordic Arts Festivals. It will take place on three weekends and is presenting an abundance of cultural genres from the Baltic Sea's neighbouring countries. It features a unique festival location, a Scandinavian-looking village with its original and typical red-and-white cottages especially build for the festival.
Concerts, DJs, readings & slams, an open-air-cinema, workshops, stand-up-paddling, bouldering as well as archery and a lot more will be part of the part of the programme. NORDEN is all about sustainability, from energy to waste recycling and workshops that deal with the topic during the festival.
On the main stage, the Schlei-Stage, international bands and musicians will perform. The Garden Stage will be the stage for performances by singer-songwriters. The Culture Tent will be the main hub for readings, slams and international cinema. The Street Theatre Deck is the central location for the performing arts. At the Green Pavilion visitors will be able to learn and get information about sustainability.
Festival doors are open on three weekends from Thursdays till Sunday. Day tickets are available starting from a reasonable 7,50€, weekend tickets for 19,00€ and a festival pass for 39,00€.
