On the Move open consultation

08.02.2018 |

The cultural mobility information network On the Move has developed an open consultation around mobility of artists in Europe, and the survey can be completed online between now and Tuesday 20th February 2018.

On the Move is a member based network, with 43 organisations from 24 EU and non-EU countries involved. The members come mostly from performing arts and cultural sectors and have both local and global scope with their activities.

On the Move is an information network that facilitates knowledge exchange and support for arts and culture groups around cultural mobility. Touring Artists recently commissioned an article on the subject which can be found in its entirety here. In response to renewed interest in the mobility of artists across Europe, On the Move is exploring the possibility of development of a funding model – the European Mobility Fund for Arts and Culture.

Their open consultation process begins with an online survey for individuals and organisations that asks a range of questions to gather information about cultural mobility. It will take around 15 minutes to complete and the survey can be found here. All answers are anonymous and responses can be made in English, French, Spanish or Italian.

All questions must be answered and the results will be used to inform the development of funding for this area, if deemed viable and necessary. Surveys must be completed online by Tuesday 20th February 2018.
