The cities present their most important sights, must-sees and event highlights in the new brochure available also online.
The destination guide is produced primarily for the US travel trade market, but is useful for anyone travelling to the Baltic Sea Region.
“Many studies show that the Baltic Sea Region is still rather unknown for tourists from outside the region. With the common destination guide we want to make the Baltic Sea Region better known as a whole, as well as highlight the five amazing metropoles located around the Baltic Sea“, says Dietrich von Albedyll, CEO from Hamburg Tourist Board.
“When tourists and tour operators are interested in visiting the area, instead of looking for information on the endless websites of the different cities and countries, they can now find the basic facts of the area at one look in this common booklet, as well as suggestions for the must-see –sights and best events to get to know the region.”
The destination guide is produced as part of the One Baltic Sea Region project, which aims to boost the common branding of the Baltic Sea Region. The destination guide will be distributed at travel trade events in the US in spring 2014. Additionally, there will be an online version available on www.onebsr.eu and also on the websites of the participating Baltic Sea metropoles.
