The second chapter of the Baltic Triennial will begin this Friday 29th June, with a weekend of performance at the Tallinn Art Hall.

The 13th Triennial is held in 3 parts, focusing on themes surrounding identity and entitled ‘Give up the Ghost'. With Chapter 1 already well underway since March in Vilnius, the triennial is held successively in 3 Baltic cities, with a chapter in each; Chapter 2 will run from 29th June to 2nd September in Tallinn.

The 2nd chapter will open this weekend, starting at 6pm on Friday with speeches and formalities, then 3 hours of performances before the official afterparty begins at 11pm at Sveta Bar. Vincent Honoré, Maria Arusoo, and Taaniel Raudsepp will give the opening addresses, and from 6 to 9pm there will be a series of performances by Adam Christensen, Merike Estna and Young Girl Reading Group. At 7pm Paul Maheke will perform, followed by Young Boy Dancing Group at 8pm.

On Saturday there will be a few hours of events, maximising the afternoon sunshine. At midday audiences can attend open studios by the Estonian Artists’ Association and Vincent Honoré, and Dina Akhmadeeva will give a tour from 3pm. Finally there will be a performance at 3pm by Lina Lapelyté.

The opening of Chapter 2 of the Baltic Triennial 13 will be held Friday 29th and Saturday 30th June 2018 at the Tallinn Art Hall (Kunstihoone), and the exhibition will run until Sunday 2nd September.
