Oulu Intern. Children’s and Youth Film Festival: review

From 19 to 25 November 2012 the 31st edition of the ARS BALTICA accredited Oulu International Children’s and Youth Film Festival took place and is now successfully completed. The jury was impressed by the festival’s great creativity.

Again this year the festival offered a diverse range of film genres and a lot of prizes were awarded. In brief:

  • Kaleva award: Niko 2: Little Brother, Big Trouble (directed by Kari Juusonen)
  • Cifej Prize: Unelmien Arkadia (directed by Olivia Silver)
  • Church Media Foundation Award: Almost 18 (directed by Maarit Lalli)
  • ECFA Award: Totally True Love (directed by Anne Sewitsky)
  • Youth film for tomorrow and Poem foundation’s little Bear: Miss Farkku-Suomi (directed by Matti Kinnunen)
