The Baltic Circle Festival, promoting intercultural exchange in the Baltic Sea region, brings theatre people of different countries together and shows the latest trends in contemporary theatre.
This year, the festival featured 67 performances and other events an was attended by 2.457 spectators in all.
The festival was organised by Q-teatteri in co-operation with KokoTeatteri, Universum, Theatre Info Finland, and the HIAP – Helsinki International Artist-in-residence Programme.
The main festival supporters were the City of Helsinki Cultural Office, the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Finnish Cultural Foundation, the EU Culture Programme, the Nordic Culture Point, the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland, the Finnish-Swedish Cultural Foundation, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, the British Council, the Netherlands Embassy in Finland and of course, Ars Baltica.
The next Baltic Circle festival will be held on November 16–20, 2011.
