Structured Dialogue on Social Inclusion

08.12.2017 |

Suitably interested stakeholders are invited to apply to participate in a brainstorming session on social inclusion, in April 2018, the findings of which be presented to the European Commission in September. Applications are open now until 8th January 2018.

Voices of Culture is an EU funded project that facilitates discussions between the European Commission and relevant EU civil society stakeholders.  Focusing on strengthening advocacy and collaboration, the project does this through events such as the ‘Structured Dialogue on Social Inclusion’.

This brainstorming session invites relevant stakeholders to participate in a productive discussion on the 17th and 18th April 2018, followed by further discussion of the main ideas generated in the April sessions, in September 2018 in a meeting with the European Commission in Brussels. The aim of the discussion is to bring together those with an interest in the role of culture in social inclusion and the possibilities for partnerships with other sectors to be created.

There are 30 places available in the session for civil society stakeholders in the cultural sector and 5 places for non-cultural stakeholders. Organisations from any of the 28 EU member states are invited to apply and ideally a diverse mix of representatives from cultural and creative sectors will be in attendance to be representative of the EU as a whole.

See the Voices of Culture website for the selection criteria. Applications can be completed online and the deadline is the 8th January 2018.
