Focus on Russia - Call for proposals :: EU-Russia Cultural Cooperation Initiatives

The Delegation of the European Commission to Russia is currently seeking proposals for support to the EU-Russia Cultural Co-operation Initiatives in Russia financially supported by Tacis Institution Building Partnership Programme (IBPP) of the European Communities.
Interested applicants (individuals, and informal alliances such as initiative groups are not eligible) have to fulfill ALL of the following conditions:
-Be a non-profit making legal entity (officially registered in accordance with the legislation of the country of their establishment) falling within the following categories:
-Non-governmental organisations
-Local and regional authorities (cities, municipalities, provinces or regions administrations
-State/regional/municipal museums and similar cultural institutions
-State artistic universities and other state artistic educational institutions
-Be nationals of a Member State of the European Union2 or of one of the candidate countries or of the European Economic Area3 or of Russia
-Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action, not acting as an intermediary
The proposed projects must stay in a relation to at least one of the priorities listed below:
-Promotion of innovative artistic and cultural projects with a European dimension.
-Initiatives that promote networking, exchange and practical cooperation between cultural organizations, museums and artistic universities, both on a local level, linking Russian regions, and on an EU level with European partners (e.g. by linking existing EU-based cultural networks with networks of cultural organizations in Russia).
-Initiatives that increase mobility and interaction between artists and cultural sector workers in Russia and the European Union; encourage innovative and result-oriented forms of cultural exchange and creativity and promote culture in and from places that are not yet part of the EU-Russia cultural discourse.
-Initiatives capitalizing on cultural heritage, intellectual capital and culture-related knowledge assets as an innovative way to activate local economic growth and development based on culture (i.e. cultural tourism).
-Initiatives to improve the attractiveness and public accessibility of Russia’s cultural heritage by means of innovative technologies and new methodological approaches.
-Initiatives to promote the cultural heritage of minorities, including their contribution to cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue.
-Initiatives to strengthen the innovation and creative management capacity of cultural organisations and the people working in them – especially in the field of international cultural cooperation with partners in the European Union.
