UNION OF THE BALTIC CITIES :: 10th Annual Working Session, 4-5 May 2007, Visby

European Means For Cultural Cooperation – this will be the subject of the 10th UBC Commission on Culture Annual Working Session.
During the meeting the representatives of Municipal Cultural Departments and other cultural institutions based in the countries of the Baltic Sea Region will be given a possibility to learn more about the following issues:
- project planning,
- developing the cross-border cultural cooperation,
- applying for the EU grants.
The Working Session also gives its participants the opportunity to meet colleagues from other countries and to preliminary discuss projects that can be of mutual interest for the local cultural life in the Baltic Sea Region and also in other parts of Europe.
Lectures organised within the Session's framework will be held by the following experts:
- Leif Sundkvist, National Council of Cultural Affairs, Stockholm,
- Johan Pousette, Baltic Art Center, Visby,
- Annika Strömberg, Brussels (Västra Götalandsregionen),
- Anna Gran, Nordic Council of Ministers, Copenhagen,
- Tarja Hautamäki, Chairperson of the UBC Commission on Culture,
- Lena Pasternak, Baltic Center for Writers and Translators, Visby.
