YOUNG CULTURAL OPERATORS :: Closer Culture Neighbours

The programme was established by the Nordic Council of Ministers and is coordinated by its Lithuanian Office.
The programme is designed for young (under 36 years of age) practitioners in cultural management who have at least two-year experience of working in this field. The candidates must have a high education degree within relevant field of studies, as well as a good command of English or relevant Nordic language.
Students may not apply.
It finances visits to the Nordic countries, giving young professional cultural managers from the Baltic countries an opportunity to spend 1 month in a cultural organisation in the Nordic countries and participate in the process of organising cultural events and festivals, or become a temporary member of a cultural institution.
The objective of the programme is to create a platform for the development of new cultural projects between the Baltic and Nordic (this term includes: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, the Faeroe Islands, Greenland and Åland) countries and to promote a long-term co-operation between the cultural organisations of these countries.
The programme finances max 90% of all direct expenses related to the visits (travelling, accommodation, living expenses, travel insurance). Min 10% of all expenses must be covered by the applicant.
PRACTICAL INFO
The report and financial account should be filled in special form and submitted to the office within one month after the study visit.
The priority is given for the candidates, who can submit invitations from the receiving cultural institution/ institutions in the Nordic countries.
Applications should be sent by post or submitted to the Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Lithuania by October 15th to the address: Didzioji str. 5, LT-01128 Vilnius.
