Poland goes to Latvia :: Polish art exhibited in Riga

In autumn 2007 the National Museum in Szczecin (Poland) will present the works of Polish finest contemporary and 19th century artists in Riga.
There are two exhibitions planned to take place in two different venues of the Latvian National Museum of Art:
METAPHOR AND MYTH
Literary and Historical Motifs in the Polish Art at the Turn of 19th Century
Venue: White Hall of the Latvian National Museum of Art, 10a K. Valdemara Str., Riga

A POISONED SOURCE
Polish Contemporary Art in Postromantic Landscape
Venue: Exhibition Hall Arsenals of the Latvian National Museum of Art, 1 Torna Str., Riga
Curator: Magdalena Lewoc
Artists: Anna Baumgart, Kuba B±kowski, Bogna Burska, Oskar Dawicki, Marts Deskur, Katarzyna Górna, Elżbieta Jabłońska, Grzegorz Klaman, Zofia Kulik, Natalia LL, ŁódĽ Kaliska, Jerzy Kosałka, Paweł Kowalewski, Tomasz Kozak, Maciej Kurak, Roman Lipski, Wojciech Łazarczyk, Robert Rumas, Jadwiga Sawicka, Janek Simon, Paweł Susid.

Both exhibitions were supported by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
