The 8th Annual Baltic Development Forum - Helsinki, 29-31.10. 2006
(2006 11 15 14:58) Baltic Development Forum is a leading independent network for decision makers, stakeholders and experts in the Baltic Sea Region. The leading theme of the Helsinki Summit is the Baltic Sea Region in the global playing field. The meeting will be also dedicated to Energy Safety, Branding, the New Northern Dimension and Russia's role in the Baltic Sea Region.
The 2006 State of the Region Report will be officially launched and presented at the Summit. The Report reveals that The Baltic Sea Region, is doing well in terms of overall ompetitiveness – but the lead is diminishing.
The key questions at the Summit are:
- How do we keep up the pace and stay competitive in the global economy? - How can we assure access to reliable and affordable energy resources? - How do we further the relationship with Russia with direct benefits to both sides? - What are the stories that could help shape the Baltic Sea Region brand internally and globally?
These and other vital subjects will be discussed by 500 CEO’s, political leaders and leading academics from the region and the rest of the world.
