The Foundation for the Culture of the Future invites you to a two-day seminar in Stockholm in May, concerning international cooperation in the fields of art and culture.
This year, the Foundation for the Culture of the Future is organizing a two-day seminar from May 20 to 21, in Stockholm, Sweden, titled “Local initiatives meet global influences”.
The purpose of the Foundation, which was established by the Swedish government in 1994, is to support long-term, innovative cultural projects, thus stimulating regional and local culture and contributing to development in all artistic and cultural fields.
To reach this goal, the Foundation organizes seminars all over Sweden with various participants and inspirational lecturers. The objective is making things happen thanks to a free exchange of thoughts and ideas. This “meeting of minds” is aimed at creating contacts leading to future partnership and joint projects.
An important goal of the Foundation is extending its activity outside Sweden. International dialogue and cooperation are linked to the Foundation’s objective of border crossing.
The upcoming seminar will allow participants form different countries to meet lecturers and other activists deeply involved in international cooperation in art and culture. The subjects of discussion will concern the development and realization of creative ideas, finding partners and establishing networks, and also making use of cultural and artistic differences as a creative force.
The seminar will take place in Sínga-Säby on the island Ekerö, a 1-hour drive from Stockholm. The participation fee is 950 SEK (Swedish kroner) and includes all meals and transportation to Sínga-Säby. Further information about accommodation and transport will be sent to registered participants.
The deadline for registration is April 7th. The number of participants is limited!
