South Baltic Cross-border Co-operation programme, First call for proposals

The South Baltic programme within the framework of the European Territorial Cooperation aims to strengthen the sustainable development of the South Baltic area through joint actions increasing its competitiveness and enhancing integration among people and institutions
The Program has three priorities: Economic Competitiveness, Attractiveness and Common Identity and Technical Assistance. Within the first priority it is possible to implement projects connected with entrepreneurial development, integration of higher education and labour markets as well as transport accessibility. The priority axis 2 supports projects concentrated on management of the Baltic Sea environment, energy saving and renewable energy, sustainable use of natural and cultural heritage for regional development and local community initiatives
The total budget of the program is 75342210 euro.
The first call for proposals for the South Baltic Programme was launched on 26 March 2008 and will last until 30 April 2008, 4.00 p.m. At the kick-off meeting in Gdańsk on 26 March 2008 participants from eligible areas of Poland, Sweden, Germany, Denmark and Lithuania had an opportunity to find out more about the programme, exchange ecperiences and search for potential partners.
