Art Beyond Limits, 6-7 October 2008 :: Randers, Denmark
(2008 09 11 14:32)
'Art Beyond Limits' is a two-day European Art Project and Conference on Outsider Art, which takes place in Gaia Museum in Randers. The museum is famous for exhibitions which exceed the limits of so-called traditional art. The works presented there do not reflect a given style or school. The museum regularly displays the expositions of outsider art.
The conference on October 6-7 will be divided into two sections A and B. The section A is a theoretical conference aiming at art school teachers, art museums, galleries, art historians and students. It is composed of lectures and workshops. The section B is a practical art project intended for artists with learning disabilities or similar disabilities, the project resulting in creation of the City Land art monument. The whole process of creating the art City Land will be guided by the designer Mitten Ferrar and supervised by the pedagogic staff. Creative activities will take place in a huge tent with a wooden floor and on the green lawn and will tell a story of the forces of nature. Artists will also use natural materials.
Further information concerning conference fee and registration can be found here.
