The artistic group Flora Metamorphicae from Norway is a joint project of six ceramists:Kari Aasen, Lippa Dalén, Siri Haaskjold, Bjørg Hougen, Audhild Rypdal and Eli Veim, who have been working together since 2003. Their current exhibition "Flora i Østerled" presents 4000 ceramic flowers arranged in a different way in various places and venues of display.
Flora Metamorphicae has been already presented in Norway, Sweden and Finland inside the venues, as well as outside in the fresh air. The title of the exhibition conveys the message the display is about flowers and change. The flower and clay they are made of have always been a crucial part of human life. Now, put together, they go through metamorphosis of shape and arrangement, changing and challenging the regular perception of the two.
The exhibition "Flora i Østerled" will be presented from September 19 to October 25, 2008 in M. Zilinskas art gallery in Kaunas, Lithuania.
