XVI Audio Art Festival, 23-30 November 2008 :: Warsaw

Audio Art Festival integrates the sound and visual arts. It is experimental and postmodernist and is presented in forms of a concert, performance or installation. Audio Art is "one person art", which means the whole process of creation and performance is unified by a composer, designer and a performer. The Festival presents artists from all over the world, very often with their premiere performances. Other events of the Festival include non-audio art, which contributes to extension of the image of the art based on sound.
The Warsaw edition of the Audio Art Festival will take place in the Centre of Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle (csw.art.pl). The artistic director of the Festival is Marek Chołoniewski. The artists appearing during 8 days of the Festival are Lemur (Eric Singer, Tedd Reynolds) from New York, Francois Houle from Vancouver, Katarzyna Marczak (Vancouver, Krakow), Trio Phonos ek Mechanes (Wrocław), Daniel Davidovsky (Tel Aviv), Wojciech Kosma (Berlin), ZA SIÓDMĄ GÓRĄ (Rogalów, Warszawa), TAM - deForma (Padua), We Can And We Must (Chicago), Paolo Angeli &Takumi Fukushima (Bolonia, Tokyo), Piotr Lachert (Pescara), Loadbang Ensemble (Chicago, Katowice), Steel Qaurtet (Dresden), Sergi Jorda & reactable (Barcelona) and Xala (Bern).
