'Evolution haute couture

International art exhibition 'Evolution haute couture. Art and Science in the Post-biological Age'  is a selection of video docummentaries about the works of art created in 2008 by means of the latest technologies such as artificial life, robotics, bio- and gene engineering. The collection presents life and death questions and problems that appear in the course of technological evolution and advancement and are reflected in contemporary art. The art of the post-biological age, however, uses technology and technical documentation to create new living entities.

Sections of the exhibition include artificial life, evolutionary design, robotics, technical modification of the body, bio- and gene enineering, tissue and stem cells engineering, nano engineering.


The exhibition is organised by the Kaliningrad Branch of the National Centre of Contemporary Arts and presented in Kaliningrad Art Gallery.
