New Fimic website has been launched!

The newly designed website of the Finnish Music Information Centre is a valuable source of information on Finnish music. The users can browse composer information pages, find work details or new recordings, and browse through the Fimic Music Library catalogue. All the information can be found either via the front page navigation ("Finnish Music"), or via the genre pages that include only genre filtered information. The website also contains a number of automatic cross references, so the users can navigate at the site following your own desire of knowledge.

Other new functions of the website include: Event Calendar, which gives dates and other information about concerts of Finnish music outside Finland. The users can also send notifications of such events filling in the form available on the web. The users can also find a list of premieres of contemporary music when searching the calendar; Web Shop, in which you can order online sheet music distributed by Fimic; Press Photos, which can be downloaded with a use of the password; Music Directory, where you can find links to other Finnish music organisations and About Fimic, which includes descriptions of Fimic services, projects and staff.

The website will continue to be updated during summer.
