New Culture Management Magazine

Latvian Academy of Culture, in cooperation with Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland), University of Arts in Belgrade (Serbia), Institute for Cultural Infrastructure Sachsen, in Görlitz (Germany), Yeditepe University in Istanbul(Tukey) and Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film University in Tbilisi (Georgia) have launched a new long-term project: an international, scientific magazine "Culture Management".
Its first issue launches cooperation between several higher education institutions and culture organizations; the magazine is first project of such kind in the Central and Eastern Europe. The author of the idea was developed by the most ancient universities in Europe - Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Uniwersytet Jagielloński), Poland; it successfully persuaded also Latvian Academy of Culture, University of Arts in Belgrade, Institute for Cultural Infrastructure Sachsen, in Görlitz, Yeditepe University in Istanbul and Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film University in Tbilisi to join the project.
Published in Krakow, the semi-annual magazine is a trilingual periodical - every article has its full version in English, German and Polish; its themes include various topics related to culture management in a broad sense.

The next issues of the scientific magazine will be dedicated to analysis of general culture management problems, as well as to culture development in the represented regions.
The first issue includes articles by Latvian Culture Academy professors - Dr.I.Bērziņa, Dr.E.Busa and Dr.K.Nellingen, as well as by an expert of the culture management field, guest lecturer at the Latvian Academy of Culture, Dr.Peter Bendixen. Other authors are culture management researchers from Belarus, Croatia, Kaliningrad Oblast (Russia), Serbia, Ukraine and Germany. The covered subjects include philosophical grounds of culture management, culture decentralization, importance of image and reputation in corporate communications, defining cultural policy, culture management education in Europe etc. << back
