Success of folkBALTICA

The 3rd folkBALTICA ended on Saturday with a concert by the Moscow Art Trio in the “Alten Post” in Flensburg. The audience figures were much higher than the previous year. Within just three years, folkBALTICA has developed into a quality brand that has been able to attract a large international public without having to use big international names.
The festival in numbers: 4,300 visitors experienced 30 events at 24 different venues.
But folkBALTICA 2007 is not over yet! The exhibition “Digital is Archaic” at the Flensburg Chamber of Trade and Commerce (IHK) in Heinrichstrasse will be running until 11th May, showing Finnish art, design and curiosities.
In the last week of September we there will be a range of folk concerts and events for children in Schlewig, Rendsburg, Husum and Flensburg to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of Edvard Grieg.
