Two instrumental highlights and three “Artists in Residence” promise an exceptionally diverse programme at JazzBaltica 2007 with concerts in Husum, Kiel, Lübeck and Salzau.
Under the motto, “trumpet vibes”, outstanding musicians from Germany, the USA and other countries will be performing from 27.06 to 01.07. This year's “Artists in Residence”, vibraphonists Bobby Hutcherson and Joe Locke, and trumpet player Dave Douglas, are exceptional, internationally renowned artists who will capture the audience at the JazzBaltica with their versatility and virtuosity as band leaders and project managers.
With funky soul-jazz and powerful, polyrhythmic Afro-beat, Femi Kuti from Nigeria and his big-band formation, “The Positive Force”, will lead the African Dance Night.
