The elections for ARS BALTICA Chairman for 2009 completed

According to the decision made at the 37th ARS BALTICA Organising Committee Meeting in Riga (18 October 2008), the Committee Members participated in the election of the ARS BALTICA Chairman for the year 2009 via the Internet. The election was prepared and coordinated by the ARS BALTICA Secretariat. The voting took place between 3 and 15 December 2008.
Each country represented in ARS BALTICA Organising Committee was entitled to one vote. The representatives of the following countries took part in the election : Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland and Sweden. Out of nine votes submitted eight supported Mr. Gert Haack for the position of ARS BALTICA Chairman in the year 2009. One country (Germany) abstained from voting.
Mr Gert Haack was thus unanimously elected to be ARS BALTICA Chairman in the year 2009.
