Stray Trek :: till 15 February 2009 :: Rauma, Finland
(2009 01 30 15:51)
Rauma Art Museum, the organiser of Rauma Biennial Balticum, continues the museum's series of contemporary art exhibitions designed for children and young people. The works in these exhibitions are not expressly created for children, but the choice of works, the exhibition concept and exhibition tour are all designed with the target group in mind.
The starting point of Stray Trek is experience and spatiality - reflections, apparitions, light, shadow, motion and strange perspectives. The exhibition invites the audience on an adventure, to marvel at things and experience the works.
This year, the children's show has a larger intended audience than before. From Rauma, Stray Trek will go on a tour to Berlin, where it will be presented in Felleshus, the exhibition space of the Nordic Embassies which hosts one exhibition of Finnish culture every year.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a 'tourist map' designed for youngsters, comprising an exhibition brochure and a textbook with fun assignments, as well as information about the exhibition and the individual works on show.
