10th Short Film Festival Tinklai, Lithuania, 02. September - 12. October 2008

The festival was born as an initiative aimed to create a regular cultural event on the Lithuanian coast and in the Capital, and was meant to attract audiences of both cities and present them with a unique cinema feast.
This year the International Short Film Festival Tinklai embraces
-You will be able to watch 120 short films, including those which have won e.g. Oscars and awards at other film festivals as
-One of the greatest opportunities will be to watch 9 of the best short films, which either were nominated or awarded with Oscars during the last decade.
-There will be the Dazzle Short Film Label’s (
-film selection of the
- films of young and experienced filmmakers from the Basque Film Library, National Film Centre of Latvia, Estonian Film Fund, Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing and the Polish Film Institute
- 7 Basque short films of the Anniversary Programme of the Basque Film Library, awarded by 230 awards in total
- selected most interesting new British, Irish, German, Swedish, Norwegian and Finish films
- an open-air screening of selected short films- 2-5.
- Students of Vilnus and their guests will be able to watch the open-air cinema in the Vilnus University’s yard- 5th September.
- all night screenings in the yard of The Teatchers House in
- movies till down in Film Centre Skalvija- 6th and 12-13th September.
