Oulu International Children's Film Festival
(2008 02 05 12:12)
The Oulu International Film Festival is organised annually by the Oulu Film Centre. It is based in Northern Finland, but its activities have a wider range in the country, trying to advance the knowledge and study of film art and film history. During the festival week, you can see dozens of feature films for children, consisting of fiction, documentaries and animation.
This year the Festival will take place on 17-23 November 2008.
It will feature half a dozen Scandinavian films in the competition. Special programme "Growing Pains" will again present sweet and bitter stories about the agony of being young. "Kaleidoscope" will consist of colourful and exotic films from all over the world.
The Festival will also screen a retrospective of Polish animation celebrating it’s 60-year-old history.
The Festival will launch on 17th November with the Dutch film The Seven of Daran - The Battle of Pareo Rock. This adventurous story is set in breath-taking African landscapes.
