Welcome to Fredrikstad Animation Festival, October 22nd to 26th 2008.
Fredrikstad Animation Festival is the oldest animation festival in the Nordic and Baltic countries, with roots back to Oslo Animation Festival which was formed in 1994. Since then the festival has been an important venue for Nordic and Baltic animators.
The ambition of the festival is to showcase and celebrate the Nordic and Baltic animation, to bring highlights of international animation to the Nordic region and to serve as a meeting place and source of inspiration for Nordic and Baltic animation professionals.
The heart and soul of the festival is our competition programme and the Golden Gunnar Award. After some years in recline we are now back with a complete competition programme for Nordic and Baltic animation films.
