The ARS BALTICA Organising Committee consists of representatives of the ARS BALTICA member countries (see the map). AB National Desks are placed in institutions which have both cultural and political functions in their corresponding countries (e.g. ministries of culture, arts councils, cultural institutes, etc.) thanks to which AB Committee Members stay in a close relation to both policy makers and cultural operators.
The activity of ARS BALTICA Organising Committee is coordinated by the Chairman and supported by the Secretariat.
ARS BALTICA Organising Committee reports on its work and development to the Conferences of Ministers of Culture of the Baltic Sea States.
The Committee plays an important role in information exchange between decision makers and cultural operators, in the development of common cultural policy and in the promotion of the culture of the Baltic Sea Region at the European forum. The Committee also decides on granting the ARS BALTICA logo to the cultural projects (read How to apply) and has a task of advising and searching for joint funding these projects. All such important decisions are made and crucial issues discussed by the Committee during the ARS BALTICA Organising Committee Meetings (twice a year: in spring and in autumn).
All year long the Members are available at those addresses (click the map).
